SECOND LIGHT UP WEBINAR

We'll be meeting for a second webinar. See details below.

The webinar is free, but you need to enrol in advance.

Abstract

In this 21st. century, teachers need to be aware of the need to stop teaching to the test and start teaching for a deeper understanding of the content. We should help students to use their previous knowledge to develop their conceptual frames. This will eventually lead them to become autonomous learners.

Classrooms should act as small cells of society and provide opportunities for studetns to rehearse how to interact with others.

The working world demands workers who are able to work cooperatively to achieve effective results. Real interaction skills such as communication, empathy and respect for the otherness, as well as individual and social responsibility are key to facilitate working integration.

In this presentation, we'll go over some classroom practices that provide students with opportunities to experience how the use of these skills can facilitate the achievement of goals.
