A student sent me this joke. It justifies the importance we give to accurate pronunciation.
Can any of my students of Phonology and Diction IV identify the source of error?
"Un ciudadano inglés y uno español viajaban juntos en barco. De pronto el inglés cae al agua y grita 'Help!' 'Help!', y el ciudadano español contesta: 'Gel no tengo, pero te puedo alcanzar champú'
