The woman in black is María Isabel Recamán, my friend, my classmate, my colleague and my teacher. She is the author of English Phonetics: Segmentals, the book you use since you start discovering Phonetics and you will never leave aside.


Marisa taught me the basics and much more. She taught me how to teach others, how to discover and how to teach myself. What she taught me enabled me to enter the IPA Course at UCL.
